Description
Kohlrabi is in the brassica family and is related to cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower. You can eat the stems and large leaves. To eat the bulb, peel the hard outer layer. The smaller bulbs are tender-crisp and slightly sweet, delicious raw. The larger bulbs can get more “woody” and are better cooked. You can roast them, add to stir fry, or cook like a potato. My friend’s favorite is to make hash browns with them.
