The First Romaine of the Season (and Finally — That Salad Recipe!)

We are so excited to share that the first romaine of the season is ready — and it’s looking beautiful!

If you’ve been waiting for that signature crunch and sweetness, your wait is over. We’ll have plenty at the farmers market this Saturday, and for Friday evening farm pickups, too.

At our family farm, romaine holds a special place in our hearts. It’s not just because our customers tell us it’s the best romaine they’ve ever had (thank you — we agree!), but because it’s a favorite right here at home too.

My husband has been raving about this salad made with our romaine for the past year — and if you ever asked him for the recipe, you probably heard him say, “It’s on the website!”

Well… it wasn’t. 😅

Life on the farm gets busy, and despite good intentions, I never got around to posting it. But I’m happy to say: the wait is over!

The recipe is finally typed up and ready for you to enjoy. It’s simple, fresh, and truly highlights the flavor and texture of our homegrown romaine.
